Turkey Oyster Casserole Recipe
Ingredients:
1 pint of oysters; drained
1/4 tsp of pepper
1 tsp of salt
1 can of mushrooms (4 ozs); sliced & drained
1/2 c of olives (ripe); sliced
1/2 c of pimientos; diced
3 c of turkey cutlets; cooked
2 c of broth (turkey or chicken)
5 Tbsps of flour
5 Tbsps of butter
1&1/2 c of soured cream; divided
8 ozs of noodles (broad type)
Instructions:
Prepare the noodles according to package instructions. Drain. Combine noodles with half a cup of soured cream.
Dissolve the butter in your pan then add the flour then slowly decant the broth. Simmer ’till it is thickened. Mix in the left over soured cream.
Add the pimiento, mushrooms, turkey, pepper and salt. Decant half this mixture inside a baking dish. Layer oysters next the top with the remainder of the noodle mix.
Bake for half an hour (350 degrees F).
Good for six persons.
