Territorial Casserole Recipe
Ingredients:
1 Tbsp of water
1 whole egg (yolk); whisked
1 container/ can of cornbread twists (frozen)
4 ozs of Monterey jack; shredded
3 Tbsps of parsley; chopped
1/3 c of olives (ripe); sliced
2 cans of beans (pinto, 15 ozs)
1 can of tomatoes (Mexican-style)
3 Tbsps of seasoning (taco)
1/2 c of onions; minced
1&1/4 lbs of grounded beef (lean)
Instructions:
Saute onions then add the beef. Drain excess oil. Mix in the seasoning (taco), beans, tomatoes, parsley and olives. Top with Monterey jack.
Make a lattice outline using the twists on top of your meat mixture being certain to seal all edges. Brush the twists using mixture of water and egg. Bake for fifteen minutes until nicely charred.
