Sausage Supreme Recipe
Ingredients:
1 lb of sausage (bulk)
1 Tbsp of white sugar
3/4 c of cornmeal
3/4 c of flour
1 Tbsp of baking powder
2 eggs; beaten
1/2 tsp of salt
1/2 c of milk
Baking Pyrex/glass dish (microwaveable)
1/3 c of drippings of sausage
Instructions:
Crumble the sausage onto base of 9″ glass dish. Microwave over HIGH about 4.5 – 7 mins stirring during half the time. Drain excess fat then set aside 1/3 c of fat for the cornbread.
Meanwhile, in separate dish, set aside 1/2 of sausage (cooked). For the cornbread, mix the rest of the ingredients together inside a bow. Stir ’til smooth. Next, pour onto sausage inside the baking glass dish; top w/ sausage reserved earlier.
Place dish in center of the microwave and cook on MEDIUM about 6 mins. Rotate ever after 2 mins.
Check the base of the dish for the unbaked cornbread batter to determine if already cooked. Let it stand for 10 mins before it is served.
