Sausage Stuffed Bell Peppers Recipe
Ingredients:
1 regular box of stuffing (chicken); prepared as stated in package instructions
1 regular tube of breakfast sausage (pork); browned & drained well
1 regular can of corn (whole-kernel); drained well
4 sweet peppers (green, extra-large); seeded, cut into half & drained well
1 cheese (Cheddar); grated
Instructions:
Preheat conventional oven (350 deg F). Combine the prepared stuffing w/ corn and sausage.
Parboil sweet pepper ’til tender-crisp (can hold its shape).
Stuff peppers w/
meat mix. Place in baking dish then add 2 Tbsps water into pan then bake about 20 mins.
Take out from the conventional oven and sprinkle cheese on top. Put back into oven about 15
mins or ’til cheese is melted. Stuffed peppers may be heated again using microwave or casserole
