Puffy Pizza Casserole Recipe
Ingredients:
1.5 lbs of beef (ground)
1 c of sweet pepper (green); chopped
1 c of onion; chopped
1 pc clove of garlic; minced
1/8 tsp of hot sauce (Tabasco)
1 pack of dry-spaghetti-sauce mix
Salt
8 ozs of cheese (Mozzarella); shredded
1/2 tsp of oregano (ground)
1/2 c of water
A can of tomato sauce (15 ozs)
1 c of milk
A Tbsp of canola oil
1/2 tsp salt
2 pcs eggs
1/2 c of cheese (Parmesan); grated
1 c of flour
Instructions:
Preheat the oven (400 deg F). Brown beef inside a deep skillet and drain all the fat off. Put in sweet pepper, onion, garlic, a pinch of salt, Tabasco, spaghetti-sauce mix, oregano, water and tomato sauce; occasionally stir mixture.
In separate bowl, mix oil, eggs and milk; beat for a minute over mid-high speed. Spoon the flour in lightly together w/ salt and beat for 2 mins at mid-high speed ’til smooth.
Then, pour the meat mix while hot into a 9 by 13-inch ungreased baking dish. Top w/ Mozzarella; completely covering the filling.
Pour the batter on top then sprinkle w/ Parmesan. Bake about 25-30 mins or ’til deep golden-brown and puffed. Immediately serve, cut to squares before serving.
