Potato Crust Casserole Recipe
Ingredients:
1 lb of hamburger
3 c of potatoes; mashed
1 can of tomatoes stewed w/ onion and garlic (14.5 ozs)
1 can of beans (green, 14.5 ozs); drained
1.5 c cheese (Cheddar); grated
Instructions:
Brown the beef into a 2 quart pan. Season w/ pepper and salt then drain. Next, add the beans then the undrained tomatoes. Slowly simmer about 15 mins.
Put in 1 c cheese and place the meat mix into the casserole. Arrange the potatoes at the top and sprinkle w/ the rest of the cheese.
To finish, bake over 350 deg F ’til cheese will melt and the potatoes will start to slightly brown, approximately 25 mins. Makes 4 servings.
