Pirogy Casserole Recipe
Ingredients:
1 lbs of extra-wide noodles; well-cooked
8 ozs of cheese (Colby); shredded
16 ozs of Cheese Whiz
1 c of margarine or butter minus two Tbsps
1-2 of onions (large); sliced
12 dollops of prepared instant-mashed potatoes
1/2 c of cheese (Parmesan)
Flakes of parsley
Instructions:
Saute butter and onion; add in Cheese Whiz. Then, stir ’til combined and melted. Put little amt of mixture to base of baking dish (13 by 9″). Put 1/2 of noodles over top and 1/2 of potatoes into small heaps.
Top w/ 1/2 of Colby and 1/2 of melted onion/cheese mixture. Do the layers again. Top w/ Parmesan then sprinkle w/ flakes of parsley. Bake for 350 deg F about 50 mins or ’til it bubbles
