How To Plan A Fabulous Potluck Casserole Party
Casserole dishes are great meals which can be prepared easily and everyone loves a good casserole. How about getting together a great group of friends then do a fun potluck party with casseroles as your main star.
Below are some really great tips for throwing that great potluck party.
The Invites
Any great and fun party begins with fun and interesting invitations. List down all the friends you would like to come to your party and once the list is done, and then it’s now time to think about the invites. I love making invitations that are suited to fit my party’s theme.
I love getting my creative side out and customizing every invitation that I send out. Important things on your invitations should be RSVP info, place of your party, time and date plus a little note at the bottom that says you’re having a potluck party and to bring with them a great and delicious casserole dish.
The foods
Casserole is of course your very main dish but you also don’t want to bore your party guests by having no extra munchies on the side. Think of a great and interesting menu for the party which should have dessert treats and tasty appetizers too. Look at your guest list and think if any of the friends you invited have certain restrictions on their health.
You might also include some veggie and fruit platters as these are must-haves to make your party more enjoyable. If kids are going to be around, then get those small-sized food treats for the kids too. As for your drinks, provide a well-stocked bar with coffee, water & juices. Don’t forget to buy some paper napkins, plates and cups so that clean-up later is going to be easier.
Entertainment
Prepare a great music selection already so that you could play it while everybody is eating. Some festive and funky music would be great. Also, think beforehand about after-eating activities like games that could be a fun ender to your party.
Bring out board games as well as some trivia games which your party guests will surely enjoy after that delicious meal they’ve just had. If kids are around, make sure that you also provide them with lots of kiddie activities so they won’t be bored.
Your Fun Party
Buy some disposable cameras so that your party guests could use to take some snapshots of each other at your party. You could also raffle out prizes in keeping with your theme such as pots, pans, aprons or a nice casserole dish. Nearing the ending of your party, it would be nice if you’ve prepared some goodie bags for your party guests. Think about goodies to match your theme too.
Cleaning After Party
After your party is done, ask some individuals to volunteer to help with cleaning then divide them in groups so that clean-up is going to be easier.
These are just simple guides to having a great casserole party. Just make sure and enjoy yourself.
