Matador’s Delight Recipe
Ingredients:
1 lb of beef (ground)
1 pc of onion (medium); chopped coarsely
1/2 c of water
3 Tbsps of chili powder
1-1/2 tsps of salt
1 tsp of cumin (ground)
1/8 tsp of ground pepper (black)
16 oz of beans (refried)
16 oz of taco sauce
6 pcs of tortillas (corn)
8 oz of sour cream (dairy)
1 c of shredded cheese (Cheddar)
Instructions:
Cook the beef on a skillet till browned; stir constantly to separate them and drain off the fat. Add onion, powdered chili, water, salt, pepper, and cumin; cook for 5 mins, uncovered, while occasionally stirring. Take out from the heat then add beans; stir thoroughly then set on the side.
Spread half cup of (taco) sauce on the base of a greased 12×8x2-inch baking glass dish. Place two tortillas above the sauce then cover one-half of the meat mix, then (sour) cream, then additional half cup of (taco) sauce. Repeat the layering and cover. Bake (350 degrees F) for forty mins. Let it stand for 5 mins then serve.
