Lone Star Pork Chop Skillet Recipe
Ingredients:
4 pcs of boneless pork chops (butterflied); cut to 1/2-inch thick, trimmed well
1 tsp of cumin (ground)
1/2 tsp of salt
2 tsps of oil (olive oil)
1 pc of garlic clove
1 pc of onion (medium); cut thinly into wedges
8 oz of canned tomatoes (stewed)
1/3 c of picante sauce
2 Tbsps of cilantro; chopped
Rice (cooked, hot)
Instructions:
Season salt and cumin on the chops. Heat the oil on a skillet above moderately-high heat. Cook the chops till browned on each side, about 2-3 mins on each. Place them on a plate.
Lower down the heat then add onion and garlic; add the chops and simmer for 10-12 mins, uncovered. Turn the chops every after five mins. Transfer the chops onto a serving platter and keep them warm.
Place (picante) sauce and tomatoes on the used skillet; cook above moderately-high heat till thick, about 1-2 mins. Arrange the chops above the rice and spoon over the sauce. Sprinkle cilantro and serve at once.
