King Ranch Chicken Recipe
Ingredients:
1/2 – 2/3 lb of grated cheese (Cheddar)
1-1/2 tsps of chili powder
Salt (garlic, to taste)
Salt (to taste)
Pepper (to taste)
10.75 oz of canned soup (cream of mushroom)
10.75 oz of canned soup (cream of chicken)
24 pcs of tortillas (corn)
1 pc of bell pepper (large); chopped
2 pcs of chickens (frying); boiled and cut to bite sizes, save the stock
1 pc of onion (large); chopped
1 can of tomatoes
Instructions:
Place the Cheddar on a mixing bowl then sprinkle powdered chili and the seasonings. Spread the soups onto the cheese then quickly dip the tortillas on (boiling) stock till wilted.
Layer tortillas on a 13×9-inch baking glass dish then add a layer of chicken, then onion, then bell pepper, then lastly the tomatoes. Bake (325 degrees F) for half an hour.
