Italian Shells Casserole Recipe
Ingredients:
2 lbs of shells (medium-size)
1 tsp of salt
2 c of sour cream
2 lbs of beef (ground)
2 c of cheese (Provolone); sliced
8-12 c of sauce (spaghetti)
1/2 tsp of pepper (black)
3-4 c of shredded cheese (Mozzarella)
Instructions:
Cook the shells then drain; set on the side. Cook the beef till browned. Add sauce, salt, and pepper; let it simmer, about 20 mins. Spray nonstick cooking oil on a lasagna dish.
Line one-half of shells on the base of prepared dish then cover one-half of meat mixture. Spread one-half of (sour) cream above then cover it with one-half of two cheeses. Do the same for another layer then cover foil on the dish.
Bake (350 degrees F) for forty mins. Remove the cover and continue baking for another 20 mins. Serve at once.
