Home-Style Ham and Potato Casserole Recipe
Ingredients:
8 pcs of potatoes (medium); peeled then sliced thinly
2 pcs of onions; sliced thinly
1 Tbsp of oil (olive oil)
1 lb of cured ham (Country ham); sliced thinly
2 c of cheese (Ricotta)
3 Tbsps of rosemary (fresh); chopped
1 tsp of pepper (black)
3 c of milk
1 c of grated cheese (Swiss)
Instructions:
Preheat the oven (375 degrees F). Combine onions and potatoes; toss them together then set on the side. Heat oil on a skillet above moderate heat then add ham; saute till heated thoroughly, or for 2 mins. Take out from the pan then cut thinly into strips.
Combine rosemary, pepper, and Ricotta inside a bowl; blend thoroughly. Place one-half of onion/potato mixture on a 13×9-inch casserole; top it with Ricotta mixture and strips of ham. Cover remaining onion/potato mixture and pour over milk.
Bake inside preheated oven for 90 mins or till potatoes become tender and sauce becomes bubbly and thick. Spread Swiss cheese on top; bake again for another 15-20 mins till cheese has melted.
