Green Noodle Chicken Casserole Recipe
Ingredients:
2 c of chicken (cooked); chopped
1 c of celery; chopped
1 c of onions; chopped
1/2 c of butter (unsalted)
6 oz of pimento (jarred)
or
6 oz of olives (Spanish, jarred)
12 oz of noodles (green)
2 c of stock
2 c of chestnuts (water); sliced
1 pc of bell pepper (green); chopped
21.5 oz of canned soup (cream of mushroom)
1/2 lb of cheese (Velveeta)
Instructions:
Saute the onion, pepper, and celery with butter then add the soup, chestnuts, pimientos, stock, and cheese. Cook the noodles on saved stock till tender.
Grease a casserole dish and layer alternately the noodles, chicken, and sauce till used up. Bake, covered, (350 degrees F) till bubbly and heated thoroughly. Serve at once.
