Gebhardt’s Casserole Recipe
Ingredients:
3 c of rice (cooked)
1/2 c of olives (stuffed)
1/2 tsp of salt
1 c of tomato sauce
1/8 tsp of pepper (black)
2 tsps of chili powder (Gebhardt)
1/4 tsp of cumin (ground)
2 c of meat (cooked); chopped
1 c of broth (meat)
or
1 c of water (plus bouillon cube)
3-4 pcs of olives (ripe); sliced
1 can of refrigerated dough (biscuit or any homemade equivalent)
Instructions:
Combine (tomato) sauce, rice, olives, meat, broth, and seasonings; mix them well and transfer onto a greased 2-qt casserole. Bake inside the oven at 350 degrees F for half an hour. Place the biscuits above the dish. Increase the temperature by another 50 degrees then bake for 10 mins. Garnish olive slices.
