El Dorado Casserole Recipe
Ingredients:
1 lb of beef (ground)
1/2 tsp of garlic (powder)
1 c of olives (ripe); sliced
1 c of sour cream (dairy)
1 c of cheese curd (Cottage cheese)
1 pc of onion (medium); chopped
3/4 c of chiles (green); chopped
7 oz of tortilla chips (corn); crushed
16 oz of tomato sauce
8 oz of shredded cheese (Monterey Jack)
Instructions:
Cook the beef till browned then drain well. Add powdered garlic, onion, olives, and tomato sauce; cook above gentle heat till onion becomes translucent. Combine (sour) cream, chiles, and cheese curd.
Layer one-half of chips, half of meat mix, half of sauce mix, and half of shredded cheese; repeat the second layering. Bake (350 degrees F) for half an hour.
