Corn Creole Recipe
Ingredients:
1 onions (small)
4 Tbsps of parsley; chopped
1/2 lb of beef (ground)
2 tsps of salt
A cup of cream style corn
1 c of milk
1 garlic clove
2 Tbsps of shortening
1 tsp of chili seasoning
1 & 1/2 c of tomatoes; cooked
1/2 c of cornmeal (yellow)
1/3 c of minced ripened olive
Instructions:
Have the garlic, parsley & onions chopped finely in heated shortening ’til limp, avoid browning.
You add the seasonings & beef in. Slowly cook for about 10 mins then add the corn & tomatoes, quickly boil then add cornmeal. Pour in olives & milk.
Have it baked w/o cover for 60 mins in generously greased bake dish at three hundred twenty-five degrees Fahrenheit.
