Chili Casserole Recipe
Ingredients:
1 lb of beef (ground)
1 Tbsp of chili seasoning
1/4 tsp of oregano
1 can of tomatoes (30 oz); stewed
2 c of slightly-broken tortilla-chips
1/ 2 c of onion; chopped
1 tsp of salt
1 can of beans (30 oz); refried
6 oz of Monterey-Jack cheese
Instructions:
Cook the onions & beef in small skillet ’til browned. Add the chili seasoning, oregano & salt. Stir beans & tomatoes in. Remove the pan from the heat.
You shred the cheese & reserve 1/2 c. Spoon one-half of the beef mix into 2-qt casserole then sprinkle w/ one-half cheese. Top w/ one-half tortilla-chips.
Create more layers. Have dish baked at three hundred fifty degrees Fahrenheit for about 20 mins. Sprinkle w/ reserved cheese then bake for 5 mins more ’til cheese melts.
