Chile Rice Casserole Recipe
Ingredients:
3 c of cooked long-grain rice (white)
3 c of sourcream
1 can of diced chiles (green)
1/2 c of grated cheese (Cheddar)
Salt
Pepper (ground)
1 tsp of salt
3/4 lb of cheese (Monterey-Jack); sliced into strips
Instructions:
Prepare the oven. Heat it to three hundred degrees Fahrenheit. Grease 1 & 1/2-qt casserole.
You season the rice w/ pepper & salt. Combine salt, chiles & sourcream.
Place one rice layer in greased casserole. Cover w/ sourcream mix layer then top w/ cheese strips.
Repeat & make 2-3 more layers then end w/ rice. Have it baked for 40-45 mins or ’til well-heated. Sprinkle w/ Cheddar then return dish into oven, heat ’til cheese will melt.
