Salmon and Mushroom Bake Recipe
Ingredients:
1/2 c of onion (yellow); chopped
2 Tbsps butter
1 c of celery; cut into cubes
1 c of mushrooms (canned or fresh); sliced
2 c of salmon; cooked & flaked
1 regular pint of sour cream
A can of soup (cream-of-mushroom, 10-3/4 ozs)
1 tsp of garlic-flavored salt
A pack of stuffing-mix (8 ozs)
1 tsp of pepper (black)
1 tsp of parsley
1 c of vegetable or chicken stock
1/2 c butter; melted
Instructions:
Saute the celery, mushroom and onion in 2 Tbsps butter over high stove heat ’til vegetables turn a bit limp, around 3 – 4 mins. Combine salmon, soup, spices, sour cream and sauted vegetables in large bowl.
Then, place salmon mix in to a 2 quart casserole pan greased lightly. In separate bowl, blend stuffing-mix, vegetable or chicken broth and the remaining butter together then spoon onto salmon mix.
Bake w/ cover about 15 mins over 375 deg F. Uncover then bake 15 – 20 mins more ’til topping turns nicely brown. Serves 6.
