Casserole Italiano Recipe
Ingredients:
1/2 c of onion; chopped
1/2 c of bell pepper (green); chopped
1/4 c of butter (unsalted)
1-1/2 lbs of round (ground)
1-1/2 tsps of salt
1/4 tsp of pepper (black)
1/2 tsp of oregano
2 Tbsps of Worcestershire
8 oz of macaroni (cooked); cooked as stated to instructions
3 oz of canned mushrooms (button); drained
10.75 oz of canned soup (tomato, undiluted)
1 pc of tomato (medium); chopped
1/2 c of grated cheese (Parmesan)
Instructions:
Preheat the oven (375 degrees F). Saute the bell pepper and onion with butter on a skillet above moderate heat till softened. Add the ground meat and cook till brown then season oregano, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper.
Combine macaroni, mixture of meat, soup, tomato, and mushrooms inside a 2-1/2 quart casserole. Cover then bake inside preheated oven for forty mins. Take out from the oven then sprinkle over the cheese. Bake again for 5 more mins or till cheese melts and browned.
