Cabbage Rolls with Sour Cream Sauce Recipe
Ingredients:
2 c of beef (ground); seasoned with salt & pepper
1/4 c of onion; diced
1/2 c of celery; diced
1 c of rice (cooked)
1 Tbsp of mustard (prepared)
1 pc of egg; beaten well
1 tsp of horseradish
6 pcs of cabbage leaves (large)
1/4 c of pureed tomato
1 c of sour cream
1/2 c of water
Instructions:
Preheat the oven (350 degrees F). Brown the meat with onion on a skillet above gentle heat. Take out from the heat then add celery, horseradish, rice, egg, and mustard; mix thoroughly. Cook the cabbage in salted boiling water for three mins.
Place the mixture of meat onto the cabbage and roll; fasten toothpicks. Arrange them on greased (baking) dish then pour over water and pureed tomato. Cover then place inside preheated oven; bake for half an hour.
Take out the “cabbage rolls” and place on a warm serving platter. Pour the (sour) cream onto the liquid inside the dish; blend them well and serve above the cabbage.
