Buttery Chicken Casserole Recipe
Ingredients:
1 pc of chicken (broiler-fryer, about 3lbs)
1 tsp of pepper (black)
1 tsp of salt
10.75 oz of canned undiluted soup (cream of chicken)
10.75 oz of canned undiluted soup (cream of celery)
8 oz of sour cream (dairy)
1/2 tsp of pepper
8 oz of packed buttery crackers (oval-shaped); crushed
1/4 c of melted butter
4 c of water
Instructions:
Combine the chicken, water, salt, and pepper inside a (Dutch) oven. Let it boil then cover and lower down the heat. Let it simmer for an hour till tender. Take the chicken out then let it cool for a while.
Remove the bone and skin of the chicken then cut into bite sizes. Combine the chicken, soups, sour cream. and pepper; stir thoroughly. Place one-half of crackers on a slightly greased 11×7x1.5 inch baking glass dish then spoon over the mixture of chicken then top the other one-half of crackers. Drizzle over butter.
Place inside the oven and bake (325 degrees F) for thirty-five mins till slightly brown.
