Beans and Wieners Under Cornbread Recipe
Ingredients:
2 packs of wieners (all-beef, 12 oz)
1/4 c of catsup
2 Tbsps of dark-brown sugar
2 Tbsps of molasses (dark)
2 chopped scallions
1 & 1/3 c of cornmeal (yellow)
2 Tbsps of sugar (granulated)
1 tsp of salt
1 c of milk
4 cans of veggie beans (16 oz)
2 Tbsps of Dijon mustard
2 tsps of hot pepper sauce
2 Tbsps of oil (olive)
2/3 c of flour (all-purpose)
2 tsps of baking-powder
2 large eggs
Instructions:
Prepare the oven. Heat it three hundred fifty degrees Fahrenheit.
In your skillet, have the wieners browned. DIagonally cut into one-inch pieces. You mix the catsup, beans, pepper-sauce, molasses & sugar in 13×9-inch bake dish. You then add the wieners.
Saute the onions ’til soft then set it aside. You whisk the flour, cornmeal, baking-powder, salt & sugar together in bowl. Add the onions w/ oil.
You mix the milk & eggs together in small-sized bowl. You stir this into the flour mix, blend ’til smooth. Spoon into casserole then bake it for about 30 mins ’til golden-browned.
Cool for 10-15 mins prior to serving.
